Schlaf- und Jodelperformances im öffentlichen Raum, eine Pyjamaparty in der Villa Tugendhat in Brno, ortsspezifische Installationen, Körperarbeit, Traumforschung – Anne Glassners Arbeiten operieren trans- und interdisziplinär, und stets an der Schnittstelle von Privat und Öffentlich. Das kollektive Miteinander ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil ihrer künstlerischen Praxis. Auch für Pillow Paradise kollaboriert Glassner mit anderen: LILA / Lisa Lang (Mode), Christian Prinz (Fotografie), Marta Forsberg (Sound) – und natürlich sind da noch alle Teilnehmer:innen an der „Polsterschlacht“ im Pillow Paradise. Im Unterschied zu vielen Interventionen Glassners geht es hierbei nicht nur – wenn auch die titelgebenden Polster anderes suggerieren – um das passive Ruhigwerden und die Einkehr, sondern genauso um ein aktives Tun, ein kollektives Sparring; letztlich ein performativer Akt – wie paradiesisch, das wird von den Teilnehmer:innen abhängen. …. Sleeping and yodeling performances in public space, a slumber party at Villa Tugendhat in Brno, site-specific installations, body work, dream research - Anne Glassner's works operate trans- and interdisciplinary, and always at the interface of private and public. Collective togetherness is an essential component of her artistic practice. Glassner also collaborates with others for Pillow Paradise: LILA / Lisa Lang (fashion), Christian Prinz (photography), Marta Forsberg (sound) - and of course there are all the participant:s in the "pillow battle" at Pillow Paradise. In contrast to many of Glassner's interventions, this is not only - even if the title-giving pillows suggest otherwise - about passive rest and contemplation, but also about an active doing, a collective sparring; ultimately a performative act - how paradisiacal will depend on the participants. (Text Anna Reisenbichler)
