During Lockdown, artist Anne Glassner began a dialogue with her mattress. The exploration of the object led to a number of photographic works of performative settings in both private and public spaces. For KLEINE POST, she chose one of the resulting photographic works to address doctors and hospital or nursing staff, who were extraordinarily challenged during this time. Working tirelessly to help and support, it is easy to overlook how great the pressure is and what responsibility they bear. Yet they too are human beings who must live with the same challenges of the pandemic as everyone else. The motif is an offer for a possible inner image, a brief inward look, a short breath, a moment of silence - and then we move on.
