KLICK

Installation and Performance, Lichtfest Krems, 6.-11. Nov 2025

Before we close our eyes
and fall asleep, most of us
probably turn off a
bedside lamp. An audible click
is followed by darkness. Thoughts, fears,
hopes, and dreams gather
in this light, which marks the
moment between wakefulness and
sleep. At the same time, a
bedside lamp symbolizes the
most intimate place in a home.
Anne Glassner is collecting
bedside lamps from people in Krems
for the LICHTFEST 2025. She
brings these everyday companions
together to form a luminous archive.
By bringing the lamps out of
the private sphere and into the public
space, the personal
becomes visible and part of a
collective landscape of light. Depending on
the light source and type of lamp,
they will illuminate the space of the Ursuline Chapel
in different ways.
